e-Newsletter for National Societies n° 4, July 2015

Dear Prof. Halima Resic,
It was a pleasure to have a representative of  Your Society at the important meeting that the ERA-EDTA Council had with the National Society representatives in London on May 28, 2015 during the last ERA-EDTA Congress.

Report by Prof. Wiecek

To begin this short eNewsletter we are very happy to be able to present the full report that Prof. Andrzej Wiecek (ERA-EDTA President) made during the meeting in London. This includes an outline of the most significant ERA-EDTA initiatives that may be of interest to the National Societies, but also a very important new initiative, that will be finalized with YOUR help during the next meeting we will have with the National representatives (see below), namely the “European Regional Advisory Boards”: if you have any suggestions regarding this initiative, kindly send your proposals to us (monica.fontana@era-edta.org) by the end of September 2015!

Surveys

Thanks to the large number of attendees at the London meeting ERA-EDTA was able to collect more replies to the survey regarding nephrology in different countries in the ERA-EDTA geographical area. We received replies from 75% of all the countries (49)! As mentioned during the meeting we are planning on how to use this information in the future and we will keep you fully informed, and involved, in this matter. To see the results of this survey click here.During the meeting in London, under the direction of Prof. Christoph Wanner (ERA-EDTA Council Representative with the National Societies), live surveys were performed. This complemented the results of the first survey. To see the results click here.Save the date !
Do not miss the new exciting meeting that we have planned with the National representatives (more details will be sent very soon). The meeting will take place at the Hilton Hotel in Innsbruck (Austria) the late afternoon of October 10th and the morning of October 11th. The arrival should be scheduled for October 10th (morning/early afternoon) and ERA-EDTA will cover the hotel expenses for one representative for each National Society for one night (kindly bear in mind that all representatives must be current ERA-EDTA members).

We look forward to seeing you in Innsbruck!
