Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a persistent and irreversible damage to the kidneys that is incurable and affects more than 1 in 10 people worldwide.
World Kidney Day (WKD) is the global awareness campaign aimed at raising awareness of the importance of our kidneys. Celebrated every year on the second Thursday of March, World Kidney Day is the biggest event focused on awareness, prevention and healthy lifestyle to promote kidney health around the world.
On March 9, 2017 we will promote education about the harmful consequences of obesity and its association with kidney disease, advocating healthy lifestyle and health policy measures that make preventive behaviors an affordable option.
Awareness raising campaigns like ours need to expand and increase their reach to be effective in fulfilling their mission. Today our organic reach is 87 million people but, if you think that there are 7.4 billion people in the world, this is still only a drop in the ocean. World Kidney Day can and wants to do more and help more people prevent kidney disease. That’s why we need YOUR HELP.
The funds raised will go to the production of more resources and material, translation of existing mateial and website in multiple languages, increased social and traditional media reach, enhanced advertisement and communication, strengthen relations with local communities – everything that creates awareness and helps people recognise, understand and prevent kidney disease.

DONATE today and help us raise awareness.

Together we can contribute to reducing the frequency and the impact of kidney disease.

We hope to count on your support!

THANK YOU.
